Kempinski Residences Astoria The shopping center is centrally located in Esentepe, the heart of Istanbul’s thriving international business district and consists of two towers of 27 floors.
The towers contain 7 floors of commercial offices Fitness & Wellness Centre and the Astoria Shopping Centre and also 129 homes, 30 of which are luxury residences available for rent that offer spectacular views over the historic city to the Sea of Marmara. The SYLPRO line has been used to upgrade the wall sound insulations.

PROBLEM
Among the various acoustic requirements for this project there was the possibility of adding a decoupling element in the walls to control the vibrations that are always present in a shopping center.
SUGGESTED SOLUTION
The solution had to be of low thickness but also very versatile in terms of installation because it had to adapt to very different situations. The product chosen by the project manager is a rubber mat of the Syl line - 5 mm thick - with a high density obtained with recycled rubber material.
RESULT
High vibration control, improved acoustic performance of all partitions involved and use of eco-sustainable products.
