The project involves extending Milan’s existing tram line, specifically the Testi – Precotto section. The route crosses the Bicocca area, serving the university campus, Milan railway station and the Arcimboldi theatre.
Requirement.
Extension of the metro-tram line in the area where there are various rail solutions embedded in the vegetation, in tunnels and on ramps in trenches.
Suggested solution.
PROTRACK CLASSIC profiles were applied to dampen the noise and vibrations generated by contact between the wheel and the rail.
Result.
The result achieved by the operation reduced vibrations.
