The works involve the renovation of several sections of the Milan tramway line, both on dedicated and shared tracks, using a variety of innovative solutions (Via Montello, Piazzale Ripamonti, Via Tivoli, etc.).
Requirement.
The increase in public transport traffic has increased the disturbance to citizens due to vibrations transmitted through the ground.
Suggested solution.
Under slab mats MATRACK 30 AVC 500 and MATRACK 15 AVC 500 were used and PROTRACK EMBEDDED profiles/joints at the sides of the rails to reduce both the vibrations and noise created by contact between the wheel and the rail.
Result.
The operation considerably reduced the vibrations transmitted to homes in the areas adjacent to the line.
