The project involves the construction of the new Brescia-Verona-Padua high-speed/high-capacity railway line, which is part of the Milan-Venice high-speed/high-capacity axis. This line is of strategic importance at both national and European level.
Requirement.
Reducing vibrations caused by passing trains is essential, especially in sections close to urban centres.
Suggested solution.
The design approved the use of the under ballast mat of the MATRACK 20 AVC 600 line to meet the requirements.
Result.
The use of the mat was planned to allow a significant reduction in vibrations transmitted to the structure. Although the project is not yet completed, it is expected that comfort conditions for residents near the line will improve, infrastructure maintenance costs will be reduced, and the project will be fully met with expected design and performance requirements.
