The project involves the modernisation and doubling of a 43 km railway line between the Croatian towns of Krizevci and Koprivnica, which is essential for the connection between Western and Eastern Europe.

Requirement.

Improving and increasing railway capacity, reducing vibrations and achieving structural stability for new viaducts under construction.

Suggested solution.

After an in-depth study by our Technical Department, the solution adopted involved the insertion of an under ballast anti-vibration mat MATRACK 15 AVC 700 which is the best possible compromise to ensure control of the vibrations generated by trains travelling at a speed of 160 km/h and the structural stability of the viaducts.

Result.

The result achieved by the operation allowed the reduction of vibrations as requested. The company that carried out the work was also able to exploit to the full the practicality and ease of installation of Matrack mats.
