Minimising noise and the transmission of vibrations to the surrounding ground caused by passing trains.
Suggested solution.
The proposed tramway system involves the use of a double floating mass track that minimises noise and vibrations through the use of elastic anti-vibration mats MATRACK 30 AVC 500 and MATRACK 15 AVC 500 that prevent vibrations from being transmitted to the surrounding ground, as well as silent rails, that is, rails completely wrapped in PROTRACK EMBEDDED side profiles, to reduce the noise and vibrations generated by contact between the wheel and the rail.
Result.
The track system adopted reduced vibrations to the surrounding ground and the noise generated by wheel-rail contact. These solutions also allowed a reduction in line maintenance costs and an improvement in the quality of life in the surrounding areas.
