The project involves the construction of an automatic light rail line between the Prealpino and Sant’Eufemia stations and will run partly through tunnels, covered trenches, at ground level and on elevated viaducts.
Requirement.
Creating a new automated light rail line, ensuring safety and mitigating vibrations transmitted by passing vehicles.
Suggested solution.
The solution adopted involved the insertion of under sleeper slabs SLITRACK USP B to isolate the track sleepers in order to reduce the vibrations transmitted by passing vehicles and, at the same time, extend the service life of the track.
Result.
The operation led to a significant reduction in vibrations in the affected areas.
