The works involve the reconstruction of tram lines in various streets in Milan (Via Imbriani – Via Ugoni – Piazza Bausan – Via Procaccini – Corso Colombo – Viale Regina Margherita, etc.).
Requirement.
Reducing the noise and vibration impact of the tram line near urban settlements.
Suggested solution.
The solution adopted in this project was to rebuild and renovate the substructure, inserting a mat MATRACK 30 AVC 500and MATRACK 15 AVC 500 under the track to create a floating mass system that can dissipate the vibrations caused by traffic passing over the structure.
Result.
The operation led to a significant reduction in vibrations in the affected areas.
