The works involve the modification, restoration and adaptation of the “railway link” along Corso Grosseto and the intersection with the city’s tram line.

Requirement.

This project required work on two applications, railways and tramways, which have different technical requirements in terms of vibration. The proximity of the new line to buildings in a complex urban setting, and its coexistence above ground and in an artificial tunnel substructure, required specific technical solutions suited to this type of project.

Suggested solution.

The solution adopted involved the laying of under slab anti-vibration mats MATRACK 25 AVC 600 and MATRACK 25 AVC 500 , while under ballast mats href="https://www.isolgomma.com/railway/product/matrack-20-avc-600/">MATRACK 20 AVC 600 and MATRACK 15 AVC 600 were used in the tunnel along the railway line.

Result.

The reduction of vibrations in both applications led to compliance with technical directives, lower maintenance costs and improved quality of life for people living near the lines.
