Metrovalencia is a public transport system serving the city of Valencia and its suburbs. Line 5 connects Marítim Serrería to Torrent Avinguda.
Requirement.
Minimising noise and the transmission of vibrations to the surrounding ground in order to reduce the impact of the lines on the urban fabric and ensure a high level of living comfort.
Suggested solution.
The solution adopted involved the use of an under slab track system that minimises noise and vibrations through the use of elastic anti-vibration mats MATRACK 15 AVC 500 and MATRACK 25 AVC 500 which prevent vibrations from being transmitted to the surrounding ground.
Result.
The track system adopted reduced vibrations to the surrounding ground.
