The project involves the reconstruction of the tramway for tram line 12 in the Via Mac Mahon section in Milan.
Requirement.
Ensuring the smooth operation of public transport services, passenger safety and minimising noise and the transmission of vibrations to the surrounding ground, as well as providing quiet rails.
Suggested solution.
During the works, the tracks were lifted to protect the roots of the trees along the route, allowing the application of anti-vibration mats MATRACK 30 AVC 500 and they were wrapped in PROTRACK EMBEDDED side profiles to reduce the noise and vibrations generated by contact between the wheel and the rail.
Result.
The embedded track system reduced noise and vibrations caused by trams travelling along the line.
