The project involves upgrading the infrastructure of the Adriatic railway line between Bologna and Lecce, allowing for faster travel times across the network. The works involve reinforcing the masonry arches of two bridges in the Ofantino area, on the Trinitapoli-Barletta section, with the construction of a reinforced concrete structure connected to the existing one for the restoration and waterproofing of the two structures.
Requirement.
Reinforcing the masonry arches of two bridges and reducing noise and vibration impact near the town centre.
Suggested solution.
The design approved the use of a mat of the MATRACK line to meet the requirements.
Result.
The result achieved by the operation reduced vibrations caused by trains passing over the bridges.
