Multifunctional building “Villino Rossi”
In the province of Vicenza stands the rustic complex “Villino Rossi”. Inside, the large “barchessa” has recently been restored and given the size and practicality of the spaces, it has been suggested that it would be dedicated as a meeting place. The large space caused many background noise problems that prevented any kind of conversation. Therefore the need arose to improve acoustic comfort by creating an acoustically pleasing environment in line with current regulations. After a careful study, the technical office of Isolgomma, in collaboration with the technicians of the municipality, designed an ideal acoustic solution for this problem and supplied the LUXOR R. sound absorbers.

PROBLEM
The level of reverberation that is too high is the problem of this project and typically of all the historical buildings restored where the dimensions of the rooms and their furnishings do not allow an adequate acoustic comfort. Furthermore, being a historic building the correction intervention had to respect the stetics and achievements imposed by the fine arts.
SUGGESTED SOLUTION
The solution to solve these problems is to increase the absorbent surface. In this case, Luxor R 120x60 panels have been proposed with magnetic fixing to guarantee adequate maintenance and cleaning. The panel has a fabric covering that can be chosen by the designer to be able to integrate correctly with the environment finishes to be corrected.
RESULT
The proposed solution has made it possible to reduce the reverberation times by at least 1.5 s, allowing the environmental conditions to reach optimal levels.
