Underfloor heating systems needs good impact sound insulation since the heating panels are very weak on acoustic insulation. In this case the floating screed concept is applied so as to create a floating mass consisting of the floating screed, heating panel and floor finish; these elements are located above the resilient layer which  adds an elastic spring effect to the system.
